W. Tim Miller, M.B.A., President and CEO (more...) Mr. Miller is an experienced CEO with over thirty years of successful leadership in public and private companies. Recent successes include the building and strategic exit of a bio-pharma company and an IPO for a trans-dermal drug delivery company. With a successful history in strategic planning, operations, business development, and funding, his drug/device experience includes Marion Laboratories, American Home Products Corporation, American Hospital Supply Corporation, William H. Rorer, and Iomed, Inc. His M.B.A. is from the University of Utah where he graduated first in his class with honors. For two consecutive years, he has been recognized as one of Utah’s Top 100 venture entrepreneurs and is an Adjunct Professor of Business at the University of Utah. He helped establish Angel Flight (www.angelflight.org) in Utah in 1999. |
Bert Israelsen, Chief Operating Officer (more...) Mr. Israelsen served in various senior management positions since 1995. Under the tutelage of Mr. Miller, he has helped grow the family of businesses with sustained profits each year and directed the team in the acquisition of Echelon Biosciences, Inc. in December 2007. Prior to joining FSI, Mr. Israelsen worked in sales management positions from 1983 to 1994. Currently, he serves on the Utah State University College of Engineering Industrial Board and the Department of Chemistry Advisory Board. Mr. Israelsen served as the Chairman of the Cache Entrepreneurial Council (CEC) from 2008 to 2011 and continues to serve on the executive committee of the CEC. |
Kabana Perkins, Senior Vice President, General Manager
(more...) Mr. Perkins joined Frontier Scientific Services in 2004 and served as the president for the last two years. He has over twenty years of managerial experience and, during his tenure at FSSI, has held multiple managerial positions. Prior to his current position, Mr. Perkins was employed as a logistics manager responsible for coordinating the movement of material spares throughout the world and inventory in excess of twenty million dollars. In his current role, Mr. Perkins is responsible for all day to day operations and sales functions as they relate to FSSI. |
Evan Steinberger, Director of Information Technology
(more...) Mr. Steinberger brings over twelve years of I.T. management, software engineering, and business experience to the management team. He holds an Master of Computer Science from Colorado State University, as well as a BS in Computer Science from the University of Delaware. Mr. Steinberger joined the company in late 2015 to bring his knowledge of Agile methodology and software processes to the I.T. team. Prior to that, he worked on cloud based software services for companies such as Hosting.com and Corporation Service Company. Mr. Steinberger also holds several professional certifications related to software processes and engineering. |

Mark Nelson, Ph.D., Vice President of Business and Science Development

Dr. Nelson has over two decades of experience in drug discovery, medicinal chemistry and the development of therapeutic agents, where his leadership in both chemistry and biology led to the formation of Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Boston, and the development of two compounds now in Phase I and III human clinical studies. Currently, he interfaces the business and science sectors, establishing relationships with collaborators and clients while expanding both technology acquisitions and intellectual property portfolios. Dr. Nelson holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Microbiology from Gannon University and a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Temple University. He is the primary inventor on over forty patents and has numerous publications and reviews in the areas of drug design, antibiotics, and drug discovery. |
Neil Jones, CPA, MAcc, Controller and Human Resources Director
(more...) Mr. Jones has over twenty years experience in public and private accounting and human resources management. Mr. Jones received his Bachelors and Masters of Accountancy from Brigham Young University and is a C.P.A. He has over eight years working at the accounting firm of Deloitte Touche and at another international firm. Mr. Jones has been a controller and human resource director for over twelve years, concentrating on small and mid-sized businesses in the research & development, manufacturing, distributing business sectors. He has also been a teacher of managerial and financial accounting courses at a local community college. Having been at Frontier Scientific for over eight years, he supervises accounting and human resources at Frontier Scientific and Frontier Scientific Services as part of the overall management team. |
